Before you go - a little note from me

Hardly anyone leaves because they've stopped loving the plants. Mostly, life just gets busy.

After twenty-odd years of teaching, I've noticed that leaving is rarely one big decision. It's more often a drift. You forget to log in for a few weeks, then miss a class, then another, and after a while logging in starts to feel like homework you haven't done. At that point, cancelling can feel like the only honest thing left to do.

But there really is nothing to catch up on here. The Academy is self-paced exactly because life gets busy. Modules and recordings are there when you actually need them, and some of my longest-standing students have disappeared for months at a time and come back when they were ready.

Herbal medicine is slow, and the plants don't mind.

If you've felt too far behind to come back in

Don't try to catch up with everything. Just choose one thing this month. Watch the latest foraging video, pick one recipe from the current booklet, or make one remedy. That's often enough to find your way back in.

If you need a proper break

You can pause your membership for up to three months rather than cancelling. There are no payments while you're away, and everything stays put ready for your return. Email me at kristine@thecraftyherbalist.org.uk and I'll sort it for you.

If something isn't working for you

If I've got something wrong, or the Academy isn't what you expected, do let me know. Write to kristine@thecraftyherbalist.org.uk. I read and answer every email myself, and it may well be something I can help with or fix.

If this simply isn't the right time

Then please do cancel, and don't feel guilty about it. You're always welcome to come back in future, although if membership prices have changed by then, you would rejoin at the new rate.

Just so you're deciding with the full picture, when your membership ends, so does your access to:

The course modules, with all their handbooks and videos
Your assignments, and my personal marking and feedback
The herb library - over 100 herbs, searchable and still growing
The monthly live classes during term time, and the full archive of past recordings
The seasonal foraging videos and monthly recipe booklets
Your place in the student forum
Your current membership rate - if prices rise in future, rejoining would be at the new rate
